Training for Leisure
CJE Leisure are able to offer a wide range of leisure-related courses, all governed by the Swimming Teachers' Association (STA) and all nationally recognised.
​
One Day Pool Plant Course - Level 2 (STA)
This certificated course covers the basics in commercial pool management including pollution filtration, chemicals etc. Each student receives a pool plant manual and the end of the course finishes with a multi-choice exam. This course is nationally recognised and the certificate is valid for 5 years.
Three day Course in Pool Operations - Level 3 (STA)

Designed for people who have complete control of a commercial pool. This is the definitive course in pool management.
The certificate is valid for 5 years complete with comprehensive course manual and and is nationally recognised.

Customer Care (STA)
This is the STA's half-day customer care course aimed at anyone working in the Leisure Industry. The course includes: ways in which to keep customers, how to keep them happy and why they don't return.

Manual Handling (STA)
Industries including the leisure industry lose thousands of hours due to poor manual handling injuries. This course is aimed at all those whose job involves lifting heavy equipment.

First Aid (STA)
CJE Leisure can offer either the 4 day First Aid at Work course or a shorter one day basic First Aid Course.

Swimming Pool Lifeguard (STA)
This is a 5 day course which can be either site-specific or a general lifeguard course for those involved in supervising swimming pools.
Swimming Pool Emergency Responder (STA)
For leisure staff working in facilities with pool depths shallower than 1.5m. On completion you will be qualified in pool rescues and basic life support. This is a single day course.
All courses are nationally recognised and are awarded through the National Safety Training Awards. The Swimming Teachers' Association is the only UK Government accredited awards organisation that has OFQUAL (Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator) and SQA (Scottish Qualifications Authority) approval.
